Karen Deli is the CEO of Adjacent Health. Prior to forming Adjacent Health, since 2016 Karen ran the predecessor business within Teladoc Health and InTouch Health.
Before running Adjacent Health and its predecessors, Karen a founder of Patronus Medical Corp and Executive Vice President of Operations at SOC Telemed. Prior to SOC Telemed, Karen Karen is a graduate of the University of Virginia and has a Masters in Leadership from the McDounough School of Business at Georgetown University. In her free time, Karen is an active paramedic.
Jay is the CFO and Chairman of Adjacent Health. Prior to forming Adjacent Health, Jay spent five years at Teladoc Health where he most recently served as CFO of the Hospital and Health System division and was previously a Vice President of Corporate Development.
Jay began his career in media and telecom investment banking at Citigroup. He has an undergraduate degree from Duke University and an MBA from the Wharton School.
Rich Evans serves as Chief Technology Officer at Adjacent Health. Rich has more than 15 years of Product and Technology leadership experience and has a proven track record of leading a wide-ranging set of products and services with experience growing, developing, and leading Product teams with product managers, engineering, UX, and clinicians.
His primary interest is the intersection of technology and clinical medicine with an aim to provide the best patient care through technology and solve clinical problems with technology and data. Prior to Adjacent Health,
Dr. Chad Miller serves as Chief Medical Officer for Adjacent Health and has served in this role since the founding of Adjacent’s predecessor organization in 2016. Dr. Miller has been an active telehealth physician and leader for over fifteen years, and his leadership experience spans administrative, operational and clinical realms. Dr. Miller received his undergraduate degree from Miami University.
He then graduated from The Ohio State University School of Medicine prior to residency training at Duke University. Dr. Miller pursued fellowship training at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Miller’s interests include characterization and prevention of secondary brain injury through multi-modal neuromonitoring. Dr. Miller is the prior editor and co-chair of the Emergency Neurologic Life Support Program and is a prior board member of the Neurocritical Care Society. He holds board certification in Neurology, Vascular Neurology, and Neurocritical Care.
Prior to Adjacent, Chris was one of the first sales team members at Ceribell Inc., a leading point-of-care EEG solution provider. Chris previously led the neurology sales team at Medivance, Inc., a patient temperature management solutions provider. Previously, Chris was one of the first hires and sales leaders for AccessClosure, an extravascular closure device manufacturer.
Chris has a B.A. in English from Susquehanna University.
Tiffany serves as the Director of Quality Assurance for Adjacent Health. She has more than 15 years of experience in neuroscience and quality improvement. Prior to joining Adjacent Health, Tiffany served in a variety of roles for a multi-site health system, including Senior Clinical Analyst, Neuroscience Service-line Analyst, and Neuroscience Program Coordinator. Tiffany also served as the Director of Quality Improvement for the AHA working with over 80 hospitals in the Commonwealth of Virginia to provide evidence-based stroke care.
Brian serves as a primary point of contact for new service implementations and for ongoing account management. Brian has been with Adjacent Health and its predecessor organization since 2017 and has worked in telemedicine since 2009. Prior to Adjacent, Brian was the Director of Client Services for Patronus, a provider of telehealth concierge services and managed telehealth services. Prior to his role with Patronus, Brian was an Account Manager for Specialists on Call. Brian has a Master’s Degree in Education and a Bachelor’s Degree from Old Dominion University.
Mark serves as a primary point of contact for new service implementations and for ongoing account management. Mark has been with Adjacent Health and its predecessor organization since 2017. Prior to Adjacent Health, Mark served as an Account Manager at Specialists on Call for 5 years. Mark received his Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Colorado Mesa University.
Emily Phillips, MBA/HCA, is a healthcare operations specialist with over 14 years of telemedicine experience. As an Account Director at Adjacent Health, she works with clients to implement and optimize virtual care programs. Her expertise spans diverse areas, including acute care and direct-to-consumer services. Emily’s work has focused on evidence-based virtual care models for organizations of all sizes, leading multi-modal programs such as telepsychiatry, teleretinal imaging, video interpretation, teleMAT, remote patient monitoring, and more. A telehealth advocate, she collaborates nationwide to share best practices, aiming to drive innovation and improve patient outcomes through telemedicine advancements.
Bette (BJ) has been with Adjacent Health and its predecessor organization since 2018. She has over 35 years of experience in healthcare and overseeing physician recruiting, credentialing, privileging and licensing. Prior to joining Adjacent's predecessor organization, BJ was the Director of Medical Affairs for two different telemedicine practices and hospitals in WA and CA. BJ places high value on delivering consistency and support to Adjacent's clients and physicians, and the trust and relationships this focus has built over years of working together.
